The Homeward Bound Project of MS

3,285 Lives Saved Since 2007 and Our Friend TJ is one of those Precious Lives Saved!

The Homeward Bound Project of MS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization operating since 2007 in Starkville, MS.  Homeward Bound is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are attending or working at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  They work with shelters in Mississippi to transport adoptable dogs (and sometimes cats) to adoption guaranteed rescues in the Northeast, thereby giving them a chance at a better life.  Homeward Bound volunteers are incredibly passionate about the work they do and we welcome you to find that passion too!

We want to give a special shout out in recognition of this great, grassroots dog rescue organization.  TJ (also known as Tammy Jo) and her siblings Vernon and Delilah were abandoned as young pups in a shelter in Northern Alabama.  Thanks to the kindness of a volunteer at that shelter who notified Homeward Bound in Starkville, Mississippi TJ and her brother and sister were give a second chance!  The pups were fostered and prepared for their long trip from Mississippi to New York almost 3 years ago.

To show our support for this rescue group, we are offering a coupon HB10 good for 10% off your purchase from www.onesassydog.com and we will donate a proceed from those sales to the Homeward Bound Project.  You can shop for all sort of cool and unique items for dogs including TJ's favorite Antlerz bones!
